The spiritual journey has many curves in the road. That is why developing your intuition and daily meditation is so important. By being diligent you will be able to navigate without wasting time, running into unnecessary detours and be able to arrive at your spiritual destination on time and ready to move forward to the next spiritual opportunity when it comes available.
Action to take: Create a road map for staying on track:
1. Commitment to the journey.
2. Regular time to meditate.
3. Watch your thoughts.
4. Journal your feelings.
5. When in doubt, forgive.
6. Practice listening.
7. Live in the now moment.

I'm always excited to create a list of new resolutions at the start of a new year, yet the prospect of maintaining those same goals the whole year round always felt like a challenge. So this year, I looked at my long list of resolutions and combined them all into one big resolution called "Be Your Own Best Friend".
This year 2013 I am going to be my own best friend, something I learned about from Jane Elizabeth which she also talks about in this week's video. And it's all about supporting your best Self, giving yourself the chance to succeed at your goals and making the changes you want to make. Being your own best friend also means being committed to making choices that serve your highest possibility; not allowing old habits or ideas to get in your way or running away from challenges.
As an example, if I had a new year’s resolution to run a mile a day, I could probably talk myself out of making the effort to get up early in the morning when it's easier to forget about it and just sleep in. But in being my own best friend, I can inquire within before taking that action. By connecting with my higher Self I can discover what the right action may be that best supports my goal. Exactly the same way one would ask their best friend for an honest answer about something important. Going within for the answer and being willing to listen, this is being your own best friend.
Whatever your new year’s resolutions may be, you can definitely accomplish them by being your own best friend. All it requires is that you make a commitment to yourself. You can do that right now actually. Take action and move forward with courage, you can do it!
